Llano Cemetery is a place of beauty and dignity,
steeped in history. Pioneers, war veterans and many prominent citizens
have been laid to rest in the historic 140-acre cemetery.
Llano is owned by those who have purchased burial
property. A Board of Directors, elected by the property owners,
makes decisions pertaining to the maintenance and everlasting care
of the cemetery.
For more than 100 years, Llano has helped families
with their burial needs.
In 1987, Llano Cemetery was approved by the Texas
Historical Commission as the first cemetery in Texas to receive
the honor of becoming an historical site.

Hay rides with on-board guides add a new element to this favorite event. The trailer tour will take visitors through areas of the cemetery grounds not covered in the walking tours and include a stop at the Pantheon Mausoleum. As in previous years, visitors walk through the cemetery to hear museum curators and friends tell stories of Llano features and people, including several new stories this year. Cost is $5 per person; children 3 and under are free.
SHARE THE STORY
In an effort to preserve the histories of families who have chose

the Story.” Families are being asked to share the stories
of their family members at Llano. Find
